had to replace my old reliable toshiba laptop. had it for 4 1/2 years on the road, and it finally stopped working. got an acer asp[ire one, 11.6 inch netbook with 2 gb of ram, and a 250 gb hard drive for 299.00 new. not a bad deal, but it does have limitations. it’s underpowered for anything more than simple email, surfing, and such. but i find that i really don’t do a whole lot more than that anyway….

it runs flash, plays videos, and has a built in webcam and microphone. very lightweight, and portable. we’ll see how it holds up to hundreds of thousands of miles in the truck.
