Father’s day thoughts….

I’m sitting here this morning, perusing fb and such, and seeing a shit ton of “happy fathers day” posts….. I am pretty sure I never posted one of those, and I know why. Me and my father never had that kind of relationship. I never went to him for advice, and I didn’t look up to him as a man of virtue, and courage. I wish I could have, as I could have used lots of guidance as I grew up. But, he wasn’t the dude to give it. So, I’m a little jealous of people that miss their dads, as I miss what I never had.

Just finished starting to plan a trip to key west with Donna. Booked a hotel for the way down, in Lake Park, GA, and we’ll stay with Dauvida the next day in Tampa area. Do some sightseeing there, and hit up Ybor City nightlife, then drive down, and stay 2 nights on a houseboat right on the water in key west! Sounds really cool, and I hope it is. Then we’ll drive up and visit Doone and Kim for a day and a half, then head home.

@Pudingtane @dbongino @TerryJPainter Rules for thee, not for me! Troubling how many mindless fascists are employed in a uniform for the gubmint entities… I always thought the rank and file would balk at such nonsense. They don’t seem to be.
